Chaplaincy of la Villedieu du Pont de Vau Located in La Crèche, the Chaplaincy of la Villedieu du Pont de Vau is an edifice from the 15th century. It was intended for welcoming Saint-Jacques of Compostelle' Pilgrims. In 1435, this house belonged to Lord Aymeri of Magné who made a present of it as also a private income of 100 francs a year for 2 masses a year for the last sleep of his soul. Pilgrims stopped here and found a peaceful and care place with table and lodging. The Association for the Development of the Archaeology in Niort and its Environs (ADANE) acquired the Chaplaincy in 1994. It is its registered offices. The voluntaries restore the Chaplaincy and go in for the animation. Thus, a room is furnished in the ground-floor like was the chaplaincy in the 15th century. It is possible to see the whole edifice. During summer, there are some exhibitions .
